EVO Japan debuts with a 124 million yen loss

 

 

According to the financial report by Hearts United Group which runs the EVO Japan tournament, the event made a loss of 124 million yen (approx. $1.13 million), contributing to the group's decline in operation profit for the fourth quarter. The company in its statement notes that while EVO Japan was a huge hit with over 7,000 entrants, sponsorship income came below expectations while running costs had surmounted beyond their planned budget.
