Earlier this year, Bigben and Breakpoint announced Tennis World Tour. Platforms were mostly a mystery at the time, but Bigben has now confirmed that the game is coming to Switch.

Tennis World Tour is intended to be a spiritual successor of sorts to the Top Spin franchise. Pierre André, who was a producer on Top Spin 4, is working on the project.

Details are mostly unknown at the moment. We do know that 30 playable tennis stars will be included, such as Roger Federer, Gaël Monfils, Angelique Kerber, Garbiñe Muguruza, Carolin Wozniacki, Nick Kyrgios, Alexander Zverev, and John Isner.

Tennis World Tour is heading to Switch in 2018.

Bene, anzi benissimo. L'arrivo dei generi sportivi è un segnale importatnte, e dopo NBA Playground, RBI baseball 17 prenderò anche NBA 2k18 e questo Tennis WT. Spero arrivi anche Madden NFL.

Spero almeno che gli atleti siano animati bene ognuno con le proprie animazioni personalizzate (senza contare che il fatto che finora non abbiano parlato di Nadal, Murray e Djokovic mi lascia un po' perplesso).

Allora... probabilmente lo comprerò a prescindere... ma a dirla tutta alcune animazioni non mi convincono ed anche alcune collisioni pallina\racchetta mi convincono poco, ma parliamo comunque di una Alpha... vabbè bando alle ciance... basta che posso giocare con Re Roger e mi sta bene :sisi:

Various outlets recently went hands-on with Tennis World Tour. Along with details, new footage has been published online this week. We've rounded up the information below:

the team wanted to make a simulation, something more like Top Spin than Virtua Tennis.
60 fps, on Switch confirmed.
The developer teamed up with both motion capture studio Mocaplab and some professional tennis players.
Some great players are absent from the game such as Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray.
Roger Federer, Stanislas Wawrinka, Gael Monfils, and Lucas Pouille will all be in the game.
Around 30 players at launch.
Choices towards promising young players.
Five women players, including Caroline Wozniacki and Garbiñe Muguruza.
The studio wanted to add more, but for now, talks are ongoing and they will most likely arrive as part of a paid-for DLC.
It was equally difficult for the studio to license the official tournament courts.
The studio went straight to the people who designed them in the first place, and in doing so they have recreated no less than 18.
Each court is different from the last.
From Wimbledon to the US Open with surfaces of various kinds.
Various game modes, including an exhibition mode, competitive online matches, and a career mode.
Career mode: play as a character you have created, dress them in gear drawn a collection of 500 unlockable items for both men and women.
You will have to choose different coaches from a wide range of options, and they will help you customize your character through the acquisition of skill cards.
No loot boxes for cards.
Get cards by advancing in your career and by hiring coaches that you acquire them.
Each coach has their own cards.
You're free to choose your coach according to the skills that best suit your style.
Cards add passive skills as well as abilities linked to particular moves.
The team wants to find a good balance to avoid ending up with five cards that outperform all others.
The game will have plenty to unlock, and your character will be unique according to their appearance as well as their special abilities.
For customization, can also increase the ability of your character across a trio of areas: defense, attack, and serve / volley.
Each point spent will increase your abilities accordingly, but you can't always spend your points in the same area.
Managing your fitness is also essential.
Once your career is up and running, you choose which tournaments you want to take part in.
Your player might suffer from the jetlag depending on where they are travelling to.

2v2 mode will be added after launch as free DLC.
Faces of the players, although recognisable, aren't photorealistic since the frame rate is being prioritized.
The court is divided into nine zones.
If the shot is too strong, the ball is more likely to land out of bounds.
The power of each shot must be adapted according to the position of the player.
