Microsoft’s ‘Halo 4’ debuts at No1 and arrived on Tuesday 6th November as the 16th event title launch of the year (normally defined as a Tuesday/Wednesday release).

There are only two more event titles to come this year, with ‘Black Ops II’ next week and ‘Hitman Absolution’ the following week – this total of 18 event games in 2012 is a record, up from 11 games in 2011. ‘Halo 4’ sold slightly more units than last week’s PS3/360 ‘Assassin’s Creed III’ (itself an event title from Wednesday 31st October) and ‘Halo 4’ ranks as the 18th biggest SKU launch in terms of week 1 units, but does not beat 2007’s ‘Halo 3’ (15th biggest SKU) or indeed 2010’s ‘Halo: Reach’ (12th biggest SKU). Ubisoft’s ‘Assassin’s Creed III’ drops to No2 (-73%), ahead of EA’s ‘FIFA 13’ at No3 (-13%). EA’s ‘Need For Speed: Most Wanted’ at No4 (-28%) exchanges places with Sega’s ‘Football Manager 2013’, now No5 (-47%).

Activision’s ‘Skylanders Giants’ climbs 2 places to No6 (+7%) and THQ drop 4 places to No7 with ‘WWE 13’ (-60%). The TV-advertised deal for ‘Borderlands 2’ certainly had an effect – the title climbs 11 places to No8, up 180% over last week. Ubisoft’s ‘Just Dance 4’ remains at No9 (+10%) and EA’s ‘Medal of Honor: Warfighter’ drops 4 places to No10 (-65%). The only other new entry in the Top 40 this week is Sony’s PS3 ‘LittleBigPlanet Karting’ at No24.

anche con un esordio migliore reach alla fine ha fatto meno di halo 3.

Sì certo hai ragione anche perchè credo che il 4 richiamerá i giocatori scottati ds Reach.....

In affetti fa un po' strano che Halo4 abbia fatto meno al debutto, ma imho terrà meglio nel tempo.
di certo cmque un buon esordio, è sempre un franchise importante

Male LBP karting, nel confronto (ovviamente impari, ma è quel che sto dicendo) con MarioKart ancora in chart da sempre dal lancio (ormai un anno fa) si vede l'elemento di differenza tra Vita e 3DS in occidente imho

per altro per 3ds stupisce (me) vedere ancora MarioLand ancora in chart (anche lui a un anno dal lancio) nonostante l'uscita e la permanenza in chart di New Mario (appaiato a Layton che resiste come posizioni, e magari anche come numeri, visto il calo non così forte della scorsa week che era sul 20% circa)

Molto bene in periodo di festività anche Skylander, ovviamente con la versione Wii (più da bambini) a guidare le SKU

AC3 regge molto bene e con Fifa e Just dance guida i terze parti e lo farà fino a natale secondo me

Anche a me Halo sinceramente non convince affatto. Il primo episodio numerato dopo 5 anni. Con tantissimo hype in mezzo e mezzi di pubblicità davvero ingenti. E fa meno degli altri due. Poi magari dai qui a Natale tiene meglio degli altri, ma come lancio il bicchiere è mezzo vuoto.

il "casual" la vedo molto dura si vada a comprare il wii u a 300 sacchi quando o ha già il wii a casa o può comprare il wii + just dance a 100 sacchi.
se i giochi poi sono multy totali non ne parliamo proprio.
imho questo pubblico arriverà ( se arriverà ) in un secondo momento.quando il wii u costerà meno e non usciranno + i giochi per wii.

Per halo 4 bisognerebbe vedere anche quanto ha fatto meno.Senza sapere questo è difficile fare valutazioni serie. Comunque,al limite,varrebbe lo stesso discorso di mario bros,e cioè che naturalmente una sovrasaturazione di uscite ti rende poi il titolo meno un evento rispetto a quanto fosse tempo fa. Bisogna trovare un buon equilibrio tra le uscite,anche di Halo praticamente ne è uscito uno all'anno. Poi chiaro,puoi anche fregartene di vendere un po' meno ma avere guadagni assicurati ogni anno

Veramente Halo 3 è del 2007 e Halo Reach è del 2010. Altro che uno ogni anno. L'anno scorso c'è stato solo il remake di Halo 1, ma direi che nonconta

Certo che conta,ti va comunque a saturare il brand

Praticamente a parte il 2008 un halo ogni anno(tra l'altro loro stessi dichiararono questo piano di farne uno all'anno)
