Se teniamo di conto di cosa hanno fatti tutti e due negli ultimi tempi...per un fan quel tubo è anche troppo fine!

Comunque il prgetto è stato diretto e voluto da Lou Reed i Metallica si sono solo prestati a fare da sottofondo quindi non mi sento di criticare in se i 'Tallica visto che seguivano delle direttive.

Lou Reed says that Metallica fans have threatened to shoot him after the sour reaction to their "Lulu" collaboration.

Reed told USA Today that the metal fans "are threatening to shoot me, and that's only because I showed up."

He added: "They haven't even heard the record yet, and they're recommending various forms of torture and death."

"Lulu" seemed an intriguing concept at first, until the first stream of the song "The View" which sparked serious concerns over the integrity and quality of the upcoming collaboration.

But none of that fazes Reed, who has seen more than his fair share of poor sales and negative reviews over the years.

"I don't have any fans left," he says. "After Metal Machine Music (1975), they all fled. Who cares? I'm essentially in this for the fun of it."

Lars Ulrich leapt to the defence of the singer:

"This is something they've never heard. Nobody hears rhythms or delivers poetry the way Lou does. It's not for everyone, but I think it's a fantastic record."

Reed called Metallica his "metal blood brothers," and even hinted that there could be more from Loutallica if he gets his way.

"No-one wants 'Lulu Part 2', but on Radio Lou, in my head where I hear these songs, I want more of it," he said. Get those pitchforks ready.

Il regista newyorkese Darren Aronofsky girerà il nuovo video di LOU REED & METALLICA per il pezzo “Iced Honey“. Darren Aronofsky è noto per aver lavorato con Spike Lee e per aver girato film quali “The Wrestler” (2008), con cui ha vinto il Leone d’Oro, e “Il Cigno Nero” (2010) che gli è valso la nomination all’oscar per miglior regista.

Il paragone ovviamente è improprio ma, per avere un’idea dei numeri in gioco, basti pensare che “Lulu” negli USA ha venduto circa 13.000 copie nella prima settimana, arrivando solo al trentaseiesimo posto, mentre sempre negli USA “Death Magnetic” dei METALLICA aveva fatto segnare 460.000 copie vendute nei soli primi tre giorni.
