Da quel poco che si è capito, i vecchi acchiappafantasmi sono ormai troppo vecchi per continuare il loro lavoro, e stanno cercando delle nuove leve. Una di esse è Oscar, il figlio di Dana Barret al centro della vicenda del secondo film della saga. Si rumoreggia anche sul fatto che Oscar sia in realtà il figlio segreto di Peter, il quale non sa di esserne il padre!

Yes, we've got a brilliant new writer on it and we'll be passing the torch on to a new generation. We're working on it to make it just right to satisfy our fans. I'm confident we'll be in production in the next year.

It's been a long process, hasn't it?

Yes, but now we've got the studio on side. We've tried a few concepts which weren't right but now we've got a good structure and will make it happen.

Is Bill Murray doing it?

No, I can tell you he won't be involved.

How do you feel about that?

It's sad but we're passing it on to a new generation. Ghostbusters 3 can be a successful movie without Bill. My preference would be to have him involved but at this point he doesn't seem to be coming and we have to move on. It's time to make the third one.

Diciamo che la loro età non li renderebbe credibili. Per me perlomeno: io troverei ridicolo vederli in azione, come ho trovato un misto di ridicolo e patetico l'ultimo rocky balboa

In realtà solo perchè loro lasciano i posti a dei novellini, non significa che saranno necessariamente secondari all'interno del film...

ACTOR Bill Murray has allegedly shredded his copy of the Ghostbusters 3 script.

Murray, the actor and comedian, now 61, who has shown reluctance to sign up for the third instalment of the Ghostbusters comedy franchise, reportedly returned the destroyed document to co-writers and original Ghostbusters stars Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.

Murray supposedly sent the screenplay back with a note that read: "No-one wants to pay money to see fat, old men chasing ghosts," according to the National Enquirer.

Studio Sony Pictures is said to be unwilling to make Ghostbusters 3 without Murray's involvement, while Sigourney Weaver admitted that she will not rejoin the cast unless the comedy star reprises his role as Peter Venkman.

Dan Aykroyd insisted in August that Ghostbusters 3 will get made with or without Murray.
