[3DS] Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir KnightIl remake di Etrian Odyssey 2 previsto in USA per l'estate

A giugno era stata aperta una pagina teaser che lasciava chiaramente intendere che si trattasse del remake di Etrian Odyssey 2, ed eccolo infatti annunciato. Previsto per il prossimo inverno, il gioco è nuovamente diretto da Shigeo Komori (come per EO2&3 e EO Untold), avrà scene animate realizzate da Madhouse e la theme song eseguita da Kanako Ito, alla ost ancora una volta Yuzo Koshiro.

Ormai la serie è diventata annuale, come Atelier e soci

Devo dire invece che a me non dispiace questo remake, prima cosa perchè dopo PQ mi è ritornato un rinnovato interesse per la serie, e poi io EOII su ds l'avevo abbandonato all'inizio, un remake è proprio quello che mi ci vuole per rigiocarlo. Ma nel frattempo dovrei recuperare (e giocare) il terzo

A quanto pare hanno aggiunto la possibilità di salvare anche su sd, come per Persona Q. Un solo save slot su cartuccia, ma se ne possono fare altri 8 su sd.

Cmq sembra che la pagina teaser di qualche mese fa (con quel 2 D X) non fosse riferita solo a questo progetto, ma c'è dell'altro di cui parleranno in seguito.

Ogni personaggio del party avrà circa 20 diversi portraits, tranne Arianna che ne avrà più di 50, inoltre ci sarà una quantità di doppiaggio doppia rispetto ad Untold. Come già scritto oltre al save unico su cartuccia si potranno effettuare fino a 8 salvataggi su sd.

La data giapponese è stata fissata per il 27 novembre, e al solito come preorder bonus è prevista una selezione dei pezzi riarrangiati della ost, compresa la theme song "Reaching out for our future":

A new character by the name Regina will make an appearance. She’s considered an exceptional chef, and also happens to be the daughter granddaughter of a minister in the game.

There’s also a new cooking feature, where players can gather ingredients from different gathering points in the dungeons and from monsters to make up to 70 different types of foods. These foods can also be sold in town for money, which can also be used to further expand the town.

Etrian Odyssey Untold II also lets you trade Grimoires for other items with adventurers found in shops. Additionally, you’ll also be able to make trades with other players through StreetPass.

While there aren’t too many details on how it works, the game has a “recycling” feature that can be used for unwanted Grimoires, too.

First-print copies of the game will feature the game’s original soundtrack that includes different versions of the game’s BGM and main theme.
