Will your game be a mod friendly and will you release the map editor?
The game is quite mod friendly as most data is stored in xml and csv. We also use lua as scripting language.
The map editor we use is not very user-friendly so we won't release it.

You don't pay your monsters and they don't have money. And monster don't need equipment.
Heroes have money and "soul energy".
In Dungeon Keeper, you care most about your monster. In Dungeons, you care most about the heroes. That is the biggest difference to Dungeon Keeper.
In Dungeons, you will build a treasury, an armory and a library. But they lure heroes and make them happy (which gives you more soul energy). They are not for your monsters (like in Dungeon Keeper).
