OCT. 2019 NPD RESULTS - SWITCH #1 HARDWARE, LUIGI'S MANSION SEES SERIES' BEST DEBUT, RING FIT ADVENTURE MAKES TOP 10

 

 

 

Overall market

 

- consumers spent $182 million on new consoles, down 41% from October 2018

- Switch was once again the top-selling system for the month

- Switch remains the best-selling platform of 2019

- year-to-date hardware spending has declined 23% versus a year ago, to $2.1 billion

- Switch is the only platform with sales gains both in October as well as year to date

- PlayStation 4 ranks as the third-fastest unit-selling home console in history, trailing behind Wii and PS2

- total October 2019 spending on accessories and game cards fell 16 percent when compared to a year ago, to $231 million

- year-to-date sales of accessories and game cards are down 3 percent when compared to a year ago, to $2.7 billion.

 

- Luigi's Mansion 3 had the best debut month for any entry in the franchise, beating the original Luigi’s Mansion

Nel 2019 ha venduto più GTAV che RDR2, niente ormai RockStar è destinata a fare all-in su l'online.

Basta che non facciano cappellate e GTA VI venderà così tante vagonate per così tanti anni che possono permettersi altri giochi single player nel frattempo

Quello che è successo con GTAV è talmente straordinario che è difficilissimo dire se è una cosa ripetibile. Accidenti, ha fatto quanto i precedenti 6 titoli main combinati, ed erano già prima una delle serie più vendute della storia!

Tra poco supererà di 100 milioni le vendite di San Andreas... no, dico San Andreas, il gioco più venduto di sempre per PS2 e il "simbolo" di gioco alieno che "hanno tutti" di quell'epoca.

Il team kickstarter ha fatto bene.

Poi come gioco in se, dopo le prime 10 ore mi ha portato a noia per diversi motivi.

Ma è bello vedere che un rpg nuova ip a fine gen con budget medio sia riuscito ad avere un po di successo.
