Trovavo già l'originale un po' sopravvalutato (jrpg carino ma niente di eccellente). Sto porting sembra pure deludente.

■ Alistel vs. Granorg

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

Vainqueur, a continent on the path of destruction via large-scale desertification.

Over 50 years have passed since the war over the remaining green land between Alistel in the east and Granorg in the west began.

Because the Queen Protea-ruled Granorg is located in an area where desertification is particularly intense even in Vainqueur, they are desperate to secure green land, and the battle gradually tilted in Granorg’s favor. Alistel, on the other hand, which was founded by the Prophet Noah, successfully developed thaumachines using the power of thaumatech, a lost technology that uses Mana. And it is preparing to rapidly throw itself into battle.

…In a destroyed continent where everything is buried in sand and disappears, signs that the surge of war have settled are yet to be seen…

■ Alistel

Heiss (voiced by Nobuo Tobita)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

As the head of Special Intelligence (Specint for short), he is always composed and cagey. He is cold and calculating, and believes that anything can be manipulated with careful enough scheming. He especially looks after Stocke, whom he trusts as Specint’s most skilled agent.

Despite the valuable information Specint frequently provides to Alistel’s military, several high-ranking officers would like nothing more than to see Specint permanently disbanded.

Sonja (voiced by Yukana)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

She is the overseer of the medical division. In addition to her duties as a medic, she spends her time researching Mana, the source of all life, and dabbles in thaumatech research as well.

Sonja is tough yet kindhearted and counts both Sotcke and Rosh as friends. Though she doesn’t fight on the frontline, she watches over them and tends to worry about their survival on dangerous missions.

Hugo (voiced by Kenichiro Matsuda)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

The general and supreme commander of Alistel’s army, he doubles as the Prophet Noah’s mouthpiece and has taken up stewardship of the country in Noah’s stead since the Prophet withdrew from public life five years ago. Since he holds the reins of both Alistel’s government and military, it would be no exaggeration to call him the true ruler of Alistel.

He used to be a politician, but his renown from conveying Noah’s words to the masses coupled with the war against Granorg elevated him to his current position. Some already think of him as Noah’s successor, as he stirs up Alistel’s populace to war with exhortations that Protea-controlled Granorg is a den of evil.

Fennel (voiced by Mitsuru Ogata)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

The director of Alistel’s research and development department. Fennel is a world-renowned thaumatech scientist under orders from Hugo to work night and day on mass production of the powerful thaumachines he’s devised. Sonja is technically one of his underlings.

He is Alistel’s finest mind, but he has an extreme distaste for other people. He’s a typical mad scientist who thrives on data collected through field tests and cares about nothing but furthering his research.

Raul (voiced by Tokuyoshi Kawashima)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

The second-in-command of Alistel’s army, with the rank of Lieutenant General. He is Rosch’s superior and has a good rapport with him.

His evasive demeanor and suspicious looks don’t mark him as a serviceman, but those who know him well praise him as the Sleeping Lion of Alistel. He’s not the type of commander who takes to the battlefield personally, but he has a natural talent for internal administration and navigating the kingdom’s minefield of politics.

Viola (voiced by Marina Inoue)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

Alistel’s prize Field Marshal, known as the Valkyrie for her beauty and strength. She has been posted to Alistel’s most important stronghold, the Sand Fortress, where her valor and judgement have earned her the staunch support of all Alistellians, not just the military.

She is unwavering in her devotion to Alistel and has Noah’s full trust as well. Many believe that her charisma exceeds Hugo’s, and her service record also dwarfs his. Yet despite her accomplishments, she is more often than not out of the country on assignment.

Kiel (voiced by Yuma Uchida)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

Within the hodgepodge Rosch Brigade, he unifies the new soldiers as a leader of sorts. On the word of his respected superior Rosch that Stocke is a skilled swordsman, he has the highest respect for Stocke as well.

Kiel is a naive young man with a bright outlook, but can sometimes get carried away with himself and begin to panic. He, too, is a skilled swordsman, but his talents lie more in ceremonial sword dancing rather than combat forms.

Noah (voiced by Satoshi Taki)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

The charismatic leader of Alistel. He was originally a thaumatech scholar of Granorg, but in order to save the people of Granorg suffering from famine, migrated with the people to what is currently Alistel. He founded Alistel.

■ Granorg

Selvan (voiced by Kenji Hamada)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

Along with Dias, Count Selvan is Queen Protea’s most trusted attendant. While Dias manages the army, Selvan bends Granorg’s parliament to his will, acting as Granorg’s administrator. he and Dias together manipulate Protea to impose their will on Granorg, but their relationship is always one of equals. Of the two, Dias is more visible, while Selvan uses his ingenuity to support him from the shadows.

Selvan sees warfare like chess and enjoys it just as if it were a game. He is known as a feared tactician, but he occasionally goes into battle himself to lead his men.

Dias (voiced by Daisuke Namikawa)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

A court knight who serves Granorg’s Queen Protea. High Colonel Dias is an exemplar of skill and efficiency as the army’s supreme commander. He is an excellent soldier, but his ambitions go beyond the military: together with Count Selvan, he rules over all Granorg with Protea as their figurehead.

Though he tries to appear stoic and dignified, he is a decisive mover and tends to rush headlong into matters. However, his heedlessness is balanced by Selvan, whose guile complements Dias’ deficiencies to form a balanced team.

Protea (voiced by Satomi Arai)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

She does as she pleases without a care for her subjects and is known within the kingdom as a tyrant. Swept up in the luxury and power of royalty, Protea is addicted to indulgence at the expense of her people. As the late King Victor’s second wife, she has no blood ties to Princess Eruca and finds the girl a nuisance.

She has no political expertise to speak of, so her trusted courtiers, High Colonel Dias and Count Selvan, actually handle her administration.

■ Travel Across Time and Space, and Reshape History

Only you can stop possible tragedy.

The protagonist Stocke, by being recognized as the true owner of the White Chronicle, gains the ability to traverse time. By traversing space and time, you can observe facts that you’re able to learn only in that time. And depending on the events resolved in the past, the tragic future will also change.

Therefore, guide history in the right direction while occasionally redoing history.

Save Raynie and Marco from Tragedy

Here, we’ll look at a tragedy that hits your subordinates Raynie and Marco early on in the story, which Stocke reshapes via the White Chronicle.

On a certain mission, Stocke encounters Granorg’s elite force. Palomides, also called the “Executioner,” kills Raynie and Marco. Stocke also suffered a deathly injury, but risking his life dove into the river…

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

When he came to, Stocke was in a mysterious place called Historia. There, he met Lippti and Teo, and learns about the secret of the White Chronicle.

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

Stocke returns to the past via the power of the White Chronicle. By changing the route they take, Stocke was able to peacefully return to Alistel. In this manner, he will guide history in the right direction, and as owner of the White Chronicle, save the world from its fate of destruction.

■ Celestia

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

A simple society formed by the Satyros in the forests cast of Alistel and led by their Patriarch Barranca. The Satyros have power over Mana and are protected by a holy tree suffused with it. The Satyros that love to dance are mainly jovial and filled with curiosity.

Over the centuries, the Satyros have continued to isolate themselves from humans. However, in contract to the Gutrals, who have completely severed ties with humanity, the Satyros still enter human settlements from time to time and participate in cultural exchanges. Formally, though, Celestia has broken off diplomatic relations with humans; since the village of Celestia is protected by a magic barrier, humans cannot set foot inside.

Vanoss (voiced by Tomohiro Tsuboi)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

The leader of a troupe of travelling performers which includes Aht and Liese, he is always a gentleman and acts as Aht’s “Uncle Vanos.” He seems happy with his life as a wandering performer, but he is personally acquainted with the Patriarch of the Satyros, and seems to have his own agenda…

Liese (voiced by Chinatsu Akasaki)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

A Satyros dancer who acts as an older sister and caretaker for Aht in Vanoss’ troupe of travelling performers. She is affable and taklkative with a generally sunny disposition. Though she is a Satyros, she shares Aht and Vanoss’ warmth towards humanity.

Elm (voiced by Ayaka Suwa)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

The most skilled warrior in Celestia, and the proud leader of Celestia’s Vigilante Corps. She has a high hostility against humans. That stubborn attitude seems to be the result of an incident that occurred in the past…

■ Forgia

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

The country of the Gutrals, led by their Elder, Galva. It is located to the southeast of the continent, deep within Abyssia Forest.

Unlike the Satyros, which rely on their mysterious powers to keep them on an even footing with humanity, the Gutrals take pride in their formidable physiques; any of them has power equal to or greater than the mightiest human warriors. Still, contrary to their appearance, the Gutrals are gentle and have honest hearts. They are deeply opposed to war and rarely ever resort to force.

Galva (voiced by Ken Uo)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

The Gutrals’ Elder, said to be well over 150 years old. He is one of few living beings of who know of the continent’s history.

Because his race has been deceived countless times by humans, resulting in the loss of many of his kind, he is not kindly disposed towards humans and limits his people’s contact with the outside world to a bare minimum. At his insistence, the Gutrals are mere observers in the war between Alistel and Granorg.

Bergas (voiced by Itaru Yamamoto)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

The chief of the Gutral warriors. He earned the nickname “Iron Armed” as being the strongest of the Gutral warriors. He is also Gafka’s master and worries about him from a distance. Like the rest of his race, he has no love for humans.

■ Cygnus

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

This loose alliance of wanderers, drifters, and refugees was founded in the desert to the southwest of Vainqueur. Many were attracted to Cygnus by its policy of no-questions-asked acceptance, despite one’s race or personal circumstances. The laws of the land are lax, but one side effect of this is that quarrels tend to break out quite often and the citizens living there tend to be rather coarse.

Cygnus was once divided among various small, quarreling factions, but they all have been united by Garland, current king of Cygnus. The unified country has maintained a neutral stance in the feud between Granorg and Alistel, though Granorg’s constant interference means there is little love lost between the two nations.

Garland (voiced by Akio Otsuka)

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

The king of Cygnus, nicknamed the “Desert Tiger.” Even before taking the throne, he was known as Cygnus’ strongest mercenary. He was the natural choice to unite the vagabond empire due ot his courage, grace, magnanimity, and strength.

He’s an honest, chivalrous man who hates to do wrong and values the golden rule above all. Outsiders typically assume that a man of his background would rule with an iron fist, but he always takes into account to opinions of his subjects and works hard to shape an orderly Cygnus form the chaos of its constituent parts.

■ New Scenario: “Sub-History”

The 3DS remake of Radiant Historia includes the additional “Sub-History” scenario, in which Stocke meets the mysterious historian Nemesia.

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

She seems to be gathering objects called “Artifacts” that are the key to stopping the continent’s desertification…

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

In the “Possibility World,” which you will visit in search of Artifacts, Rosch, for example, has become a general, and you can see sides of characters that you couldn’t see in the original histories.

■ Battle System

Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology uses a deep turn-based command battle system familiar to RPG fans. Enemies are arranged on a three-by-three grid, and by blowing them back, you can change their position. The “Change” command, which lets you change the turn order, is also one of the battle system’s characteristics.

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

Changing the Enemy’s Position

With skills that can change the position of the enemy, you can bundle all of the enemies into a single place. By unleashing a strong attack there, you can attack the enemies all at once.

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

Change

Using the “Change” command, you can change the turn order. You can freely change the turn order between both allies and enemies. However, you are susceptible to a critical attack immediately after using the Change command.

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

—Connect a combo to a Change!

“Combos” occur when ally attacks connect. By skillfully using the “Change” command, you can connect these combos. Combos gradually increase the amount of damage dealt, so when fighting against formidable enemies, you should aim for a combo.

Mana Burst

When your “Mana Burst Gauge” fills up to its max, you can unleash a “Mana Burst,” which is a very powerful skill. As you progress through the story, each character will learn new “Mana Bursts” one by one.

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

■ New Battle System Element: “Support Skills”

“Support Skills” are a new element in the 3DS remake of Radiant Historia.

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_04-2

It allows characters that aren’t participating in battle to jump in and unleash a “Support Skill” to lend a hand in combat. There are various skills, including those that deal damage to enemies and those that exhibit support effects, and they don’t consume MP. Various Support Skills are being prepared for each member of the party, which can be learned by leveling up and obtaining items.

■ Extra Dungeon: “Vault of Time”

The extra dungeon, “Vault of Time,” is a new element in the 3DS remake of Radiant Historia. After you progress through a certain amount of the game, Lippti will request that you go the “Vault of Time.” From that point, you can visit the Vault of Time from Historia.

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_05-2

The Vault of Time is an extra dungeon where powerful enemies run rampant. Since you can’t use items, preserving your MP is the key to clearing it.

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_05-2

The extra dungeon is divided into a few areas, which you will gradually be able to access the further you advance the story. The enemies become stronger the deeper into the dungeon you go, but the rewards are plentiful.

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_05-2

If you defeat an enemy in the Vault of Time, you can obtain “Moments,” a special currency used only in the Vault of Time, which can be exchanged for valuable items. You can obtain items that cannot be purchased in ordinary shops and can only be obtained here, such as “Secret Books” to learn “Support Skills,” which are also a new feature in the 3DS remake.

Radiant-Historia-Perfect-Chronology_05-2

Up next is an introduction to two episodes from the Sub-History story.
