For the first time in nearly 20 years, since Super Street Fighter II, two new characters join the fight; Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. This version of Ryu has succumbed to the Satsui no Hado and is now obsessed with fighting in order to prove he is the strongest.
His former honorable self has been purged, allowing him to enjoy absolute power and embrace an unquenchable bloodthirst for battle.

Violent Ken is the result of M. Bison kidnapping and brainwashing Ken, enhancing his abilities with Psycho Power and twisting his brotherly rivalry with Ryu into hatred. Violent Ken is more ruthless, aggressive, and fearless with moves that feature purple flames instead of his signature fire.

Choose between classic pixel-art graphics for a retro nostalgia trip, or enjoy HD graphics created by UDON Entertainment.

Utilizing the systems unique Joy-Con controllers, players can challenge each other in Arcade Mode, or team-up to both fight against the CPU at the same time.
Nintendo Switch TV, Tabletop, and Handheld modes allow you to play Ultra Street Fighter II at home or on-the-go with brand new single-player and multiplayer modes. More information and details on these modes, along with confirmed pricing and release timing, will be shared at a later date.

Yoshinori Ono, Executive Producer of the Street Fighter series, will be making an appearance on Nintendos Treehouse Live on January 13th to showcase Ultra Street Fighter II. Watch it live on Nintendos Twitch or YouTube Channel.

You can tech throws in Ultra Street Fighter 2! Hit stun animations are different as well. Evil Ryu has raging demon super.

Violent Ken also has command dash like SVC. Also combo into super is very easy compared to old ST. Really different game overall

Character select able to choose costume

C2D8FIwW8AAuW2x.jpg

Throws are still F+HP but it's so crazy you can tech now

Cannot pick old style of character in this build. Tried to pick Old Sagat

Playing Classic and HD I felt the speed was different but it might because aspect ratio are completely different from both

Akuma air fireball is from ST. Haha the range it has is super OD. Akuma confirmed broken lmao

Violent Ken command dash can go through projectiles... You can also corpse hop with command dash for mixup opportunity. He's mad fun

Played regular Ryu and he is from ST. No fake fireball just straight standard fireball footsie how we love him

They took out Chun Li store super. Can't store the motion for super anymore :(

Balrog still the same as ST. Has charge petition and can do dash upper into super.

In ST you take the air hit you can throw as a punish. In USF2 you cannot do that anymore. You can tech when they throw attempt. Meta changed

Couldn't get a confirm if USF2 is coming for other platforms but it's good on the pro controller for the Switch

I guess the way they balance Akuma was that his life is less then other characters. Lowest life Akuma always haha

Violent Ken Super

Evil Ryu has F+MK which is an overhead but the animation is the hop kick from Alpha 3. Meaty makes it super plus!
