Gust annuncia il nuovo Atelier dal titolo Atelier Firis: Fushigina Tabi no Renkin Jutsushi e previsto per l'autunno su PS4 e Vita. Noco e Yuugen al character design.

 



■ Characters

 

Firis Mistroot (voiced by Kaede Hondo)

Designed by Yuugen. The game’s protagonist. She is a young girl who lives in a mining town closed behind a gate underground. She has the special ability to discover where ores are buried, and uses this power in her work of mining ores.

 

Learne Mistroot (voiced by Azusa Sato)

Designed by Noco. Firis’ older sister and travel partner. An excellent hunter and one of the few people that go outside the town. As her older sister, she dotes on Firis.

 

■ Game Elements

  • The theme of the story is travel. Firis does not have a particular alchemy studio, but does alchemy while traveling.
  • The game will have large-scale fields bigger than previous Atelier games, including diverse areas like a mountain district and a winter area buried in snow.
  • There are places where a town and mountain exist in a single field.
  • Firis’ outfit will change throughout her journey. The concept of time also exists.

■ System

 

The World and Story Change Based on Your Decisions

Depending on how you overcome the difficulties that await on your journey, it can affect the fields and story that follow. For example, if the bridge that crosses the river is broken. You could:

  • A) Ask a carpenter to fix the bridge. When the residents thank you, you might hear word about a strong monster nearby.
  • B) Find another way around. You’ll discover a cave around the river. While a dangerous monster likely lurks within, you may be able to discover new ores.

Synthesis at Any Time via Traveler Bonfires

You can start a “bonfire” on the various fields you travel, where you’ll put up a tent that acts as your instant alchemy studio. The land might even have an influence on your syntheses.

 

Synthesis

Just like the previous game, this game uses a synthesis system in which you play with the ingredients you choose like a puzzle game. There is also a new kind of “Superdreadnought Alchemy” not possible previously that lets you make things while ignoring the size of your alchemy pot. With this you could create things like a boat.

First-print copies of Atelier Firis include a special costume for Firis.

A Premium Box edition of the game will include a visual book, rare tracks CD, custom-drawn power, clear art card, and more.

 

Special Collection Box

A Special Collection Box edition of the game will include the contents of the Premium Box Edition, as well as nine crystal paperweight cubes and a special theme. The cubes have facial expressions of each character carved in them.

 

 


 

Regarding the area and time period…

“The setting is a little after the ending of the previous game. It’s based in the same world as Atelier Sophie, but it’s in an area considerably distanced from Kilhen Bell, where Sophie lives. The alchemy culture is more developed than Kilhen Bell, and there are a number of other alchemists in addition to Firis.”

 

Will previous characters also appear?

“Who knows? (Laughs.)”

 

In the previous game, Julio and Leon are outsiders who came to Kilhen Bell. Does Firis live near where they came from?

“Correct. There are a variety of towns this time, but we’re challenging the limits of the Atelier series with the number of towns and fields in the game.”

 

So this game will feel completely different to play?

“Until now, we had a loop where you go from the base town to the collection grounds, collect materials, return to town, and do syntheses, but since you’re steadily moving towards the next location this time, you’ll need to think about what to carry on your journey to the next town, including what materials to collected on the outskirts of town and what you synthesize. We want it to be a trial and error experience by all means.

“This time, you have one year to achieve your initial objective, and once you clear that objective, you can play the game indefinitely.

“Firis’ real journey begins when the initial objective is cleared. There are also many events, and fields are about five times bigger than Atelier Sophie‘s biggest field.”

Development is 50 percent complete.

Quindi Sophie è effettivamente il primo di una nuova trilogia (o duologia?), e non un caso isolato di episodio stand alone (considerando poi anche il legate con la saga Dusk...).

Sta cosa del doppio chara design però non mi piace, anche perchè nessuno dei 2 stili mi lascia il segno. Per carità, bella la scelta dei colori e l'attenzione per i dettagli, ma Hidari l'ho apprezzata di più.

 

Per il gioco in sè, le premesse sono bene o male quello che mi auspicavo per l'evoluzione della serie...non siamo ancora all'open world ma qualche spunto davvero interessante c'è. L'aspetto avventuristico, l'assenza di un atelier fisso e la maggiore esplorazione sono elementi di forte cambiamento.

■ Journey a Mysterious New World

After launching Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book last year, Gust is aiming at a new standard for the Atelier series.

The next Atelier is set in a world where players can unravel a story all their own. In order to realize this goal, the theme of this new game is “journey.”

The protagonist of this game is an innocent girl who has never left her town and longs to see the outside world. One day, thanks to an unexpected opportunity, she comes into contact with alchemy and sets her sights on the world beyond her own.

From great plains to snowy mountains, in this vast world with a variety of faces, the girl will be met with first time wonders and discoveries, as well as face various challenges.

How will this girl, with alchemy by her side, face these challenges? There is no single answer. The story will change, little by little, based on the girl’s decisions.

The player will be the guide to what road the girl will take and how the story will unfold. By all means, please enjoy the new world of the Mysterious series.

A remote region full of various “mysteries.” In its corner, in the middle of the wasteland, is a small town.

It is a town where those who work as miners nestle close to each other. It is an underground city formed within a hollowed out, rocky mountain. Because of the environment, the winds that tell the change of season do not blow, and even the sunlight only shines in faintly from crevices between the rocks.

A girl lives together in this town with glowing crystals and ores.

This girl had a dream—a modest dream to freely walk the outside world. But it was also an unexpected wish come true.

Preventing the girl from her dream is a huge iron door that blocks up entry to the town. Only a select few are allowed to pass through the door, and it is too heavy for the slender-armed girl to move.

Keeping her desire to visit the outside world to herself, she watches the door that doesn’t open each day. However, that every day suddenly comes to an end.

One day, the girl comes into contact with the power of alchemy. This, what could be called fated, meeting invites the girl on a journey.

A mysterious journey that continues on without end—

Firis’ older sister, who lives in the undeground mining town. She is an excellent hunter and one of the select few allowed to leave the town.

She cares deeply for her younger sister Firis, and is known throughout the town for how she dotes on her.

She understands Firis’ feelings of wanting to go outside the town, and is secretly grieving her younger sister’s current circumstances.

 

■ Liane Tags Along

Firis, who is unable to freely come and go in her hometown deep underground, wants to visit the outside world, and her desire grows stronger each day. Her only connections to the outside world are the adventure book that she reads intently and her older sister Liane, who is the only one allowed to go outside.

To make her way outside, Firis begins studying alchemy. And thanks to the support of Liane, who understands the feelings of her younger sister, she is soon permitted to leave town, albeit with a certain condition. That condition: “Become a full-fledged alchemist in one year.” Worried about her younger sister, Liane tags along, and Firis’ first ever journey begins.

 

■ Journey the Atelier Series’ Biggest Ever World

The outside world that Firis and company will travel is endlessly vast, and a single field can connect areas such as a port town, river, and rocky mountain. The warm setting of Atelier is still the same. Together with Firis, you can run about these grand scale fields never before seen in the series.

 

■ A New Outfit for Each Location

While traveling the world’s various locations, Firis will visit areas with a variety of characteristics, whether it’s intense cold or humidity. Firis’ outfit will change to suit the climate and local nature of that region. Her various appearances will make the journey even more enjoyable.

 

■ Firis’ Choices Affect the World

During Firis’ journey, she’ll happen across a variety of incidents. And she can overcome them in a variety of ways. There is not necessarily a single solution. Depending on how Firis’ chooses to address them, the story, and sometimes even the fields, will change.

—To fix the bridge, Firis can collect stones as materials and take advantage of her mining experience. She can use those stones to make building stones through alchemy and pass them on to a carpenter who will complete the bridge.

—Otherwise, Firis can find another way across the river. By walking around, she’ll discover a suspicious cave. It seems passing through here will go beyond the valley, but…

 

■ The Traveler’s Bonfire

In Atelier Firis, rather than focus on a single town, players will continue to travel across a great number of fields. So if you want to perform syntheses while traveling, you’ll need to use a “Traveler’s Bonfire,” which is available in various places. Here, Firis can also put up a tent.

 

■ Synthesis, Material Collection, and Battles

Players can use the materials gathered in the fields to perform syntheses in the atelier. Grow as a traveler by facing against attacking monsters and seeking out special materials in unexplored regions.

Synthesis, which has become the representative element of the Atelier series, will see players combining materials like a puzzle to create any item in their own way.

There is also a new type of synthesis called “Superdreadnought Synthesis.” In the world of Atelier Firis, this cannot be compared to standard synthesis. As the name suggests, the things you can synthesize are superdreadnought. This ignores the size of your alchemy pot, making it possible to create amazing things. Stay tuned for more information.

There are a large number of ingredients to be used during synthesis that can be found in the fields. Hit the tree with your staff, or break a rock with an item… Look everywhere in the field to discover new materials.

You’ll also be attacked by monsters during material collection. Use the items you’ve synthesized and the power of your allies to repel these enemies. You might even get some unexpected materials from these monsters.

essì, qui ci sono assets nuovi di pacca...sembra il motore grafico dei giochi koei; del resto se hanno fatto un mondo seamless non potevano fare altro che cambiare.

 

spero abbiano fatto un salto anche nelle animazioni, anche se dubito visto che sono facilmente trasferibili da un motore grafico all'altro.

spero abbiano fatto un salto anche nelle animazioni, anche se dubito visto che sono facilmente trasferibili da un motore grafico all'altro.

 

che io mi ricordi già da Shallie e Sophie utilizzavano il motore di DW8, infatti facevano vedere la rotazione a 360 gradi durante le scorribande nella mappa...(non posso confermare avendo la ps3 morta, ma ricordo di averlo letto qui).

Spero che lo sviluppo su ps4 abbia permesso un lavoro meno travagliato di compressione texture ecc. vista la memoria a disposizione, ma il fatto che ci sia anche psvita non mi fa sperare in "ottimizzazioni" di chissà che tipo. :(

Ilmeria fon Lineweber (voiced by Sayaka Kaneko, designed by Yuugen) is a 15 year-old girl aiming to become a full-fledged alchemist, just like Firis, who she has a rival relationship with. She is selfish like a child and hates to lose. However, she is diligent and hardworking. Her cheerful personality will also have an effect on Firis.

 

Levi Belgar (voiced by Junta Terashima, designed by Noco) is a 24 year-old wandering swordsman on a journey across various lands seeking strength and weapons. While he has a scary appearance, he excels at household chores, and has a family-oriented and serious personality. He can also sometimes be absent-minded.

Non sento il bisogno di giocare Doom per sapere che mi fanno cagare gli FPS, discorso analogo con gli Atelier.
Le cose puccettose con le donnine Kawaii con un sacco di roba random ed enfasi sul crafting (che odio in tutti i giochi) non sono certo elementi attrattivi.

A questo aggiungi una trama che nella maggior parte degli episodi è più un pretesto e bon.
