Splatoon and the three prototypes are the first games to emerge from Garage, a new Nintendo development programme set up last year in which developers break off into small teams and work on new ideas. "There are increasing numbers of young staff at Nintendo's development studios these days," Miyamoto says, "and these young guys really want to express themselves." Work is done during office hours, but he compares Garage to an after-school club, in spirit if not in schedule. "Class time's over: they gather together and think about new projects completely apart from their everyday business assignments. When all of those projects have advanced to a certain stage, we gather together and exchange opinions on the outcome of each of them, and together we decide which ones should continue. We may have shown several software titles at E3 [that came from Garage], but there are many others in development too.

splatoon e 3 prototipi presentati all'e3 vengono da questo nuovo programma di sviluppo?

speriamo ce ne siano davvero altri in arrivo.

 

cmq già dal nome "garage" fa capire che si tratterà cmq di giochi "piccoli" generalmente in controtendenza rispetto a quello che uno si aspetta su una console ( specialmente se home console ) oggigiorno.

 

è importante cmq cercare di creare nuove esperienze di gioco. anche se nascono come piccoli giochi.

smash bros ( tra gli altri ) nasce con questo spirito e poi è diventato quello che è diventato.

é lo stesso approccio che ha google, anche google lascia un giorno a settimana ai dipendenti per auto-organizzarsi e sviluppare qualcosa di nuovo senza requisiti calati dall'alto

 

il fatto é che google poi prende quelli più meritevoli e ci investe , se nintendo ha lo stesso approccio e splatoon secondo me ne é un esempio  allora potrebbe uscire anche qualcosa ad alto budget nintendo ( che sappiamo tutti che é comunque medio- basso confrontato con le produzioni occidentali)
