Compile Heart has updated the Japanese website for Makai Shin Trillion, detailing three facilities that players can utilize on their quest to take out the eponymous Trillion one HP at a time.

The first of these places is known as the Blade Field. Though utilizing it requires a payment of Training Medals, which are earned when the games Demon Lords fare especially well in training exercises, in exchange, players gain access to a dungeon where they can acquire Magic Seals, which are important for weapon upgrades, as well as various other sorts of rare items and equipment. Dungeon traversal gameplay inside the Blade Field proceeds in a turn-based manner, but with a time limit imposed, meaning players are pressed to defeat as many enemies and explore as much of the dungeon as they can in order to maximize their potential hauls. As the dungeon itself is designed to test players’ skills, the tactics employed during combat also affect how much experience can be earned at this stage, potentially able to come away with lots accrued by the end of a given run.

Secondly, the game also features a Blacksmith. As one might expect, players can upgrade their weapons at the Blacksmith, with two different types of upgrades on offer. Standard upgrades proceed in a straightforward manner; players simply pay money and receive basic improvements in exchange. However, should they wish to embed special properties into their weapons, they can opt to use them in a special upgrade, provided the weapon in question has an open slot open in which to fit in a Seal. Each weapon has eight slots that can ultimately opened, though gaining access not only costs money, but also requires that they be sufficiently upgraded through standard upgrades, as well. The website provides three examples of potential upgrades that can be done when using different types of Magic Seals, which are detailed below:

    Ruler Seal: Each time a Booster Devil dies, the Demon Lord’s stats are increased.
    Rupture Seal: Nullifies damage taken up to five times.
    Expulsion Seal: Normal attacks can hit twice.


Finally, the Research Lab functions as an item shop where Faust is constantly toiling away producing new items. As breakthroughs are made in research into Trillion, her wares expand. In addition to being able to buy and sell standard items, players can also sell off old equipment here as well. Additionally, the Research Lab is also where players can go to hire Booster Devils.
