Come probabilmente saprete Games for Windows Live (GFWL) verrà dismesso lo 01/07/2014.
La nave che affonda si porterà appresso un sacco di passeggeri, se non verrà fatto nulla. Fuor di metafora: tra un anno potreste dover dire addio ai salvataggi e al multiplayer di giochi come GTA IV e Dark Souls, per fare un paio di esempi.
Alcuni giochi, addirittura, non partiranno del tutto, in quanto necessitanti di attivazione remota sui server di GFWL (e una volta che questi verran spenti...).
 
E qui entra in gioco lui.
 

• Solo un paio di settimane fa Bioshock 2 è stato patchato aggiungendo obiettivi e netcode pilotati da Steam. La cosa più importante (e la ragione dell'apertura del presente thread), soprattutto, è la rimozione completa di GFWL. Sappiate, inoltre, che se avete acquistato il gioco PRIMA della patch (sia in versione scatolata, che digitale) registrando la chiave su Steam avrete gratis l'espansione Minerva's Den.

• Oggi è della partita anche Rocksteady: Batman Arkham Asylum e Batman Arkham City sono stati sottoposti allo stesso trattamento sopra descritto.

Uhm, bella domanda... dipende tutto dalla serietà del produttore del gioco, ma non credo ci sarà una regola generale. 2K con Bioshock 2 ha fatto la seria: tutti i DLC multi sono stati inglobati nel pacchetto base, e per quanto riguarda quello SP... beh, ne ho parlato sopra : ).
 
Per quanto riguarda i Batman, non ne ho idea. Più tardi, tanto per cominciare, proverò a registrare le key delle mie scatolette e vediam che succede :°D.
 
MS in ogni caso ho idea che se ne sbatterà bellamente i c0gli0ni.
 
Detto ciò, sfruttate questo thread proprio per porre domande e condividere informazioni, come ha appena fatto il buon Kevlar.

Important Batman Arkham Announcement

OCTOBER 17 - ERIK.MILLER

Dear Batman Arkham Fans - Microsoft has begun the process of closing down Windows Live services over the next year. To make sure there is no interrupted service, we will be moving the game to Steam for verification and update services for both the Base and GOTY versions of Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City. 

If you purchased either of the games on Steam all you have to do is let Steam download the latest patch and you will be fine. 

If you purchased the games somewhere else you will need to enter the code in Steam. (You can find steps to do this on the bottom of this. 

Unfortunately, you will not be able to continue playing from your current save. You will need to start a new game. 

Going forward you do not have to worry about where you stored that disc. If you switch computers or go to a friends house you simply need to download Steam, log into your account, then go to the library and select to install your game. 

The following link can be used to learn more about Steam and to download Steam:

To enter your CD Key in Steam please do the following: 

1. Click ADD A GAME.... 

2. Select Activate a Product on Steam.. 

3. Click Next. 

4. Click I Agree.
