Genere : Racing

Developers : DarkSeas Games

Data di Uscita : prevista Agosto 2014

Pagina Kickstarter : http://www.kickstart...road-redemption

Forum : http://roadredemption.boards.net/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqSgvhrjda8

Quindi cosa state ancora aspettando ? Fate il vostro Pledge now !

Road Redemption takes the motorcycle combat-racing gameplay, pioneered by the Road Rash series, to the next level.

Road Redemption brings state-of-the-industry combat controls, insane crashes, destructible environments, AI, ragdoll physics, and online multiplayer to the classic formula.
The Road Redemption team has been hard at work since early 2012, though preliminary design work started as far back as 2009.

Road Redemption is the experience that we've been dying to play for over a decade. We need your help to make it the best experience possible.

Road Redemption represents a return to the challenging, skill-based gameplay that defined gaming on the Sega Genesis (MegaDrive), 3DO, and Nintendo 64.
Make no mistake, Road Redemptionis geared toward experienced gamers.

By garnering fan feedback at this stage in development, we hope to make Road Redemption the game that you've been waiting to play too.
With your support, we will release Road Redemption, on its primary platforms, in July of next year.

Road Redemption features a complex and rewarding combat system designed, from the ground up, to offer a great experience on mouse and keyboard.

Obviously PC gamepads, including the Xbox 360 gamepad, are fully supported.

The Road Redemption fighting system involves counters and parries. A stronger weapon is always an advantage, but even a weaker combatant can get the upper hand by forcing his opponent off the road, or into oncoming traffic.

Gun combat is a minor part of the game, as ammo is a scarce resource in the world of Road Redemption. There's no such thing as auto-aim, so when you do make that shot, it's 100% your doing.

Road Redemption takes place in a nightmare version of the American midwest.

You play a recently-paroled felon. After 8 years in federal prison, you must work your way back up from the bottom of your old motorcycle club.

As you rise in the ranks, it becomes clear that not all of your brothers are acting in the best interests of the club, and may even be responsible for your incarceration.
You must play a pivotal role in the resulting power struggle, with multiple outcomes depending on your actions.

Eventually, you can lead your own faction and fight to control territory and drug distribution routes in a war for survival and supremacy.

Road Redemption's single-player campaign features a variety of mission types, each a variation on the the tried and true combat racing gameplay.

Immagine inserita

The following are a few Road Redemption mission types:

Combat Race: This is your typical mission. Compete with rival bikers for rewards, such as a broken down armored car, full of hard currency. Either get there first or be the last alive.

Police Escape: An army of police cars, bikes, and choppers are on your tail. Lead your fellow club members to safety. No reason not to cause some damage along the way. A well-timed lead pipe to the face will take a cop off his bike. Similarly, a well-placed round from a grenade launcher disables a police vehicle pretty effectively.

Assassin: You’ve managed to whittle a rival motorcycle club down to a few members. Now it’s your job to chase down their leader through a crowded city. Of course, his last remaining lieutenants are going to make that as hard as possible for you.

Convoy Assault: You got word that a convoy of 18-wheelers is passing through your territory. If you can defeat the vehicle's heavily-armed escort, the bounty is yours. A shotgun blast to an 18 wheeler’s tire tends to slow it down.

Immagine inserita

Escape from Enemy Territory: A planned exchange on the roof of a skyscraper has gone awry, and now you’re alone on rival turf. Race from rooftop to rooftop as you try to escape rival motorcycle club members, who are vying for your head.

Ambush: A rival club thought they could have a relaxing ride home after a big score. Little did they know that you've been scouting them. Take out as many as you can before they reach their home base.

Fan Suggested Missions: We’re eager to hear what you want to do in Road Redemption. We’re going to be actively monitoring the forum, and would love to be able to incorporate some fan-suggested mission types.

Immagine inserita

Most battles in Road Redemption will be decided with brute force and blunt (or sharp) objects, since ammo is a rare commodity.

Immagine inserita
The following weapons are currently in development for Road Redemption:

Melee Weapons:
Chains, Lead pipes, Baseball bats, Tire Irons, Machetes, Samurai Swords, Sledge Hammers, Axes, Brass Knuckles.
We will soon be announcing the special, backer-exlcusive, weapon.

Firearms:
Lever action sawed-off shotgun (with buckshot and slugs), Pump action sawed-off shotgun (with buckshot and slugs), 9mm handgun, Revolver, Desert Eagle, Uzi submachine gun, Mac-10, M-16 assault rifle, AK-47 assault rifle

Explosives:
Molotov cocktails, Explosive grenades, and Grenade launchers

Immagine inserita

Online multiplayer gaming is a huge part of Road Redemption.

Multiplayer modes include free-for-all and team-based missions. We look forward to see Road Redemption gangs forming online, with their own unique gang insignia.
Many of the single player mission types, and virtually all of the single player maps, will be available to play online.

Online features also extend to the single player campaign. You can compete with your friends, via online leaderboards, to prove that you are the the most skilled combatant.

Immagine inserita

We are developing Road Redemption in the Unity 4 game engine.

Immagine inserita

By focusing exclusively on high spec platforms (Windows PC, Mac, and Linux), we can maximize elements like physics complexity, level size, number of onscreen drivers, control complexity, and graphical fidelity.

Immagine inserita
We're big fans of touch devices like Ipad and Nexus tablets, but we didn't feel like Road Redemption was a good fit for touch gameplay, nor did we want to have to limit our designs for these lower spec platforms.
We have a working relationship with New Orleans-based TurboSquid Inc to provide us with top-of-the-line 3d assets for objects such as trees, buildings, pedestrian vehicles, from online graphics repositories.

Oculus Rift Support

The Dark Seas team is completely enamored with the Oculus Rift, and we think that Road Redemption is a perfect fit for this technology.

Immagine inserita

Based on our experience with the device, we believe it will be an incredible addition to Road Redemption and create a level of immersion never before seen in a racing game.
We're currently working on integrating Rift support into Road Redemption as a proof of concept, and we will be announcing an Oculus Rift stretch goal soon.

Console Ports

We would love to have the opportunity to port Road Redemption to consoles. Most of the team members are seasoned Xbox 360 developers, and porting to Xbox 360 would be a top priority.
We are looking forward to seeing how Unity performs on Wii U.
We would definitely like port to PS4, when it releases.
We will be announcing console port stretch goals as we get closer to our initial funding goal.

Aggiornamento :

Immagine inserita

We’re excited to reveal the identity of the Road Redemption Kickstarter-exclusive melee weapon: the stun baton!

It was a tough choice, as we had a number of options in mind, but the suggestion from backer Jacob V put the stun baton over the top.
Immagine inserita

This iconic weapon will send 4.5 million volts of electricity through the bodies of your foes, temporarily disabling them. It’s a perfect way to get out of a bad situation, set up a combo, or prevent an enemy from swerving out of the way of an oncoming vehicle.

The stun baton will be available in the singleplayer and multiplayer game, and is a kickstarter exclusive for those who backed the Barbarian Tier. It will never be part of a post-release content update.

For those interested in both the stun baton and the custom bike (to be revealed soon), we’ve added the new LEGENDARY RIDER tier, which includes both. This will be the last tier that will include either of these items, as we want to maintain their exclusivity as a show of thanks to our initial Kickstarter backers.

While the stun baton will open up unique strategies for those who have access to it, it will still be balanced with other weapons in Road Redemption. This will ensure a fair fight in multiplayer matches. It’s kind of like adding a new, exclusive character to a fighting game.

We want to thank you all again for supporting this project. Having the opportunity to work on Road Redemption is a dream come true for us.

Stay tuned for future updates, including a poll asking what Road Redemption features you’re most excited for. Please keep the great suggestions coming!

Your Feedback (Game Modes)

We want to thank you guys again for all your support here, on facebook, and on message boards. Thanks to your involvement, thousands more people have seen the project.
Your design suggestions have made a very large impact on us and will have a great affect on Road Redemption when it releases.

Thanks to you, we’ve had a chance to listen to some great music, see some amazing art, and hear some really creative ideas - stuff that we would have never come up with on our own.
We’d like to know more. Specifically, we’d like to know what Road Redemption game mode you’re most excited to play.

We’ve created a one question poll that you can access from the following link:

http://RoadRedemption.questionpro.com

As a special thank you, on Thursday morning, we’re going to announce a special, kickstarter-exclusive weapon for all backers.

Thanks again for your support and stay tuned.

Great news!

After only 5 days, we’re nearly at 30% of our total funding goal. We’re planning a big announcement in the next few days that should get Road Redemption noticed by a ton of new supporters.

Immagine inserita

We’d really appreciate you all giving us the thumbs up on our Steam Greenlight page.

It helps get the word out about Road Redemption, and guarantees you'll be able to play via Steam the moment we release.
Immagine inserita

As a special thank you for all your support, all backers are getting the kickstarter-exclusive barbed-wire baseball bat with your copy of Road Redemption.

This brutal weapon will devastate your enemies both in the single and multiplayer game. It provides more bang-for-the-buck than the standard baseball bat but is less durable. So choose your targets wisely.
Immagine inserita

The barbed-wire bat is a kickstarter-exclusive to all of our backers, and it will never appear in a post-release content update.

Immagine inserita

We’re also excited to announce the BE THE PLAYER TIER, where we create a digital version of your likeness for use in the single player campaign and multiplayer game.

We think the ability to play as yourself will really enhance Road Redemption’s level of immersion and let your online competitors know who’s responsible for their takedown.

There are a few limits to what we can create. For instance, if you have gorgeous flowing hair, we’re going to have to put it in a ponytail or give you a helmet. Also, congrats on the gorgeous flowing hair.

We are happy to create both male and female avatars.

Please keep sharing the kickstarter link on facebook

Great news! After just one week we’re already more than 1/3 of the way toward our funding goal!

This really is a dream come true for us. When we started this project, our goal was to make the game that we’ve been dying to play, and it’s great to know that we weren’t the only ones.
A lot of people have asked us about the variety of bikes in Road Redemption, and how the upgrade system will work.

We’re happy to say that Road Redemption offers a variety of selectable bikes. Currently the list includes sport bikes (crotch rockets), standard cruisers, and custom choppers.

Immagine inserita

Different styles are associated with different in-game factions, though you will have the chance to use all types in the single player campaign.

As you complete missions, you’ll earn cash for the bike shop, where you’ll unlock new bikes with better stats, as well as have the opportunity to customize elements of your current bike, such as its color.

In the multiplayer game, by default, you’re able to choose your own bike. We’re going to add an option to allow admins to customize bike selection. So if he or she wants nothing but choppers in the game, it can be set up that way.

We’ll be revealing the identity of the backer-exclusive bike early next week.

Thanks again for all your support. Please keep spreading the word and sharing the kickstarter page on facebook.

Backer-exclusive Bike!

First, we want to give a big thanks to all of our new backers. You don’t know how overjoyed we are to have so many awesome supporters.  We’re so excited for you guys to get your hands on Road Redemption.

After a lot of deliberation, we’ve chosen the concept cycle D-3X70 as the backer-exclusive reward for the CUSTOM CHOPPER DIGITAL TIER, the CUSTOM CHOPPER TIER, and other higher tiers.

While we were originally planning to go with a design inspired by a Harley-Davidson chopper, we thought this was so damn badass that we couldn’t pass it up.

TIGBnvE.png

The D-3X70 has a billet aluminum body on a steel frame, a blazing fast 8.2liter V8 engine, and retractable hydraulic handlebars. It’s incredibly unique look makes it stand out from all other bikes in both the singleplayer and multiplayer game.

The D-3X70 is a reward for backers only, and will never be included in any of Road Redemption's post-release content updates.

We’d like to thank you all again for the amazing amount of support and suggestions. Please keep sharing Road Redemption on facebook and twitter.  Thank you.

More Single-Player Campaign Details

Getting the Word Out

Once again, we’d like to give special thanks to all of our backers who are helping us get the word out about Road Redemption. The best thing you can do to ensure that we hit our funding goal is to make sure as many people as possible know about Road Redemption.

Link to share on facebook: http://www.kickstart...road-redemption

Single Player Update

A lot of you have asked about how Road Redemption’s single-player campaign is structured.

So we’d like to offer you more details on how exactly it works.

After the opening story segment and intro mission, you’re presented with the game’s world map, which features missions to play, the bike shop, and your gang’s clubhouse.

Road Redemption’s missions are all variations on the classic combat/racing formula. For instance, one mission might challenge you to be the first to reach a turned-over armored car. Another mission might ask you to lead your gang out of enemy territory while being chased by an army of rival gang members and crooked cops.

As you play through the single-player campaign, you’ll generally have two or more missions to choose from at any one time. However, at certain points in the story, all events will converge on a single mission - such as a showdown with the leader of a rival club (flanked by his loyal captains of course).

0daje0p.jpg

Story segments will appear at the beginning and ends of specific missions. These segments will be skippable, but you’ll get a warning before skipping one that you’re seeing for the first time.

You can replay completed missions at any time in order to improve your performance (more takedowns, better time, less damage to your bike, etc.). Currently we’re using a medal system similar to Star Fox, Burnout, Pilotwings, and many other games, but this may change.

The cash you earn from missions can be spent at the bike shop, where you’ll be able to unlock new bikes with better stats, as well as have the opportunity to customize elements of your current bike, such as its color. You’re also able to improve your own character’s stats by buying new equipment such as helmets, weapons and body armor.

….

So we’d like to know what you guys think of this general design. It’s not too late for us to make changes/enhancements based on your suggestions. We’d love to hear what you guys come up with.

Thanks again, and please keep spreading the word about Road Redemption!

Test dimostrativo dell'Oculus Rift su Road Redemption :

Stretch Goal #1: Road Redemption on Xbox 360 - $178,000

Our first stretch goal is an Xbox 360 port of Road Redemption.

A lot of backers and potential backers have been clamouring for Road Redemption on Xbox Live Arcade and we’re happy to deliver.

While we were initially hesitant to announce an Xbox 360 port because of Durango uncertainty, the 77 million Xbox 360s in circulation make this an easy choice.

Furthermore, the rumored Xbox 360 mini, and probable backward compatibility of the Durango (via an extra chip on the motherboard), should give the platform a life far into the future.

Our team has more collective Xbox 360 development experience than any other console, and we're all very excited to port Road Redemption to Xbox Live Arcade.

Obviously there are some variables that are out of our control, such as Microsoft’s final approval, but based on our experiences and those of fellow developers, we’re confident that Road Redemption will have a place on Xbox Live Arcade.

Stretch Goal #2: Oculus Rift Support - $198,000

The Oculus Rift virtual reality headset is an absolutely amazing device, and we would love to support it in the initial Road Redemption release.

Obviously, Oculus Rift support involves far more than this simple setup. For instance, we have to make sure it works with all of the GUIs, do extensive reworking of the combat controls, not to mention extensive testing in the single player and multiplayer game .

As such, the only way we can have it ready for release is to make it a stretch goal. If we don’t achieve the stretch goal, we still plan to include Oculus Rift support in Road Redemption, but it will have to be in the form of a post-release patch.

Getting the Word Out

As we enter the home stretch, we implore all you guys and gals to spread the word about Road Redemption as much as possible. As always, thank you so much for your support.
