According to the September 2011 edition of PSM3, Media Molecule is supposedly hard at work developing a brand-new, user-generated title slated for a release on the PS4. Sony’s fabled successor to the highly successful PS3 console has recently been the subject of endless mounds of speculation regarding it’s technical specifications and release date, with reports pointing toward a high-profile debut at E3 2012.
The respected publication teasingly speculates that Media Molecule is actively working on a next-generation title completely unrelated to the spectacularly innovative, ground-breaking LittleBigPlanet series – likely given Double Eleven and Tarsier Studios are at the helm of the upcoming LittleBigPlanet PS Vita title.
Media Molecule revealed in July that the studio intends to focus on new projects, with the development house reportedly ”stepping away” from their blockbuster creation. Check out the rumor below and in the September 2011 edition of PSM3.
”Finally, according to dev comments, Media Molecule are ‘moving away’ from LittleBigPlanet. What are they moving towards? Sensible speculation points to a new, creative, user-generated game for Playstation 4, as we know the PS Vita version of LBP is already in the conjoined hands of UK-based devs Double Eleven and Ragdoll Kung Fu-makers Tarsier Studios.”
