Developed by Gaijin Entertainment, Birds of Steel is a combat simulator which is based on some of the air battles of World War II, including: the battle of Midway, Guadalcanal, Coral Sea, Pearl Harbour, the Mediterranean Maltese island, Germany’s Ruhr Valley, and more.

Players can select how detailed they want each campaign to be, and various single and multi-player campaigns will be included.

Birds of Steel contains 20 historical and many fictitious missions, spanning eight campaigns, and access to over 100 planes from the entire axis and allied forces rosters. A number of planes can be selected for each campaign, and have been “faithfully recreated in terms of handling, capabilities and weaponry.”

Planes on hand include the Spitfire, P-51D Mustangs, and the Messerschmidt 109 are available whether you decide to fight for the Allies, Axis, or Japanese forces. Control systems for the planes range from arcade-style movements, to controls faithful to each plan style.

Weather effects for each war zone will com into play, and each plane is susceptible to damage and will suffer in terms of control accordingly. Camera views allow users to “witness their skills from a series of external views, or within the varied cockpits of the 100 planes.”

Missions are presented in through a pre-mission briefing, and players will see how their contributions come into play for each scenario, with new planes available after completing specific goals.

The game will support co-op, and multiplayer online battles such as team death matches, co-op strike missions, airfield raids, and tournament play

Birds of Steel will be made available in early 2012.

Ma sarebbe un simulatore di volo?

si, diciamo di si, credo però sia più arcade, anche perchè su console è un casino,

come gioco è più simile a questo:
