Dalle improbabili pagine del blog "Everyone Calls me Kitty", la curatrice del sito Katie "KittyKat" Rossiter, dichiara di aver avuto un colloquio con un PR Sony dopo l'annuncio dell'NGP.

Il portavoce ha voluto soffermarsi sulle enormi possibilità di interattività fra NGP e Playstation 3, puntualizzando che in combinazione, queste due macchine offriranno una interazione ben maggiore rispetto a quella fra PSP e PS3.

Sarà possibile utilizzare NGP in modalità Controller nella riproduzione di contenuti e giochi PS3, come avviene tuttora con PSPGo; ma in più si potrebbe usare il touchscreen come telecomando per ingrandire, rimpicciolire, stoppare, avviare le sequenze di un video clip.

Tuttavia la feature veramente rivoluzionaria riguarderà è nella possibilità di riprodurre qualunque applicazione o gioco della propria PS3, in remoto dallo schermo di NGP; questa volta senza nessun limite di distanza. Occorrerà avere una connessione Wi-fi e lasciare la PS3 in stand-by, e potremo gestire la PS3 situata nel nostro salotto, mentre ci troveremo in un'altra zona, città o continente del mondo.

Yesterday the Sony Rep came and spoke to me about the NGP due for release this year. As ever he was overly enthusiastic about his product and reeled off features of the new console.

* Dual thumb-stick controls
* You can use it as a controller for your PS3
* If you are connected to Wi-Fi anywhere in the world and your PS3 is on standby at home, you can play the game in your PS3 on your NGP without the disk
* To zoom in and out you use your fingers on the back of the console to stretch to zoom; like you would on the iPhone.
* LED screen for HD gaming in your hand

UMD video’s wont work on the new NGP and this explains to me why the price of all UMD disks plummeted in stores yesterday. It seems retailers possibly had a ‘heads up’ on the facts before the official announcement in Tokyo.

The console its self looks very sleek but I am yet to play on a handheld console for hours on end without my hands aching. I’m not yet convinced that making a console slimmer or lighter makes it more comfortable.

Will the NGP beat the 3DS?

The NGP may well set new standards for portable devices but with the cost most likely being over £250, will the gaming public buy it?

Questo suona improbabile .. per quanto potente possa essere, ne dubito altamente.

aspetta un attimo... quindi qualcuno in linea teorica potrebbe aprire anche una stanza in ad hoc party e offrire l'accesso a chi vuole nel mondo?
