Nights of Azure protagonist Arnice and masked demon Christophorus will appear in Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon, the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation reveals.
In the sequel, Arnice appears in a fallen-to-darkness-like transformation, with one blue and one red eye, and an ominous arm.

According to the publisher, the delay is necessary to further improve the game’s quality.
Two new points are being added as an apology for the delay:
- A New Lily Will Be Added – One of the beautiful girl NPC characters from within the game will be added as a new Lily character to accompany and fight alongside players.
- Lily Swimsuit Costume Changes Will Be Added – There are scenes in the game where Lily characters appear in their bathing suits. After those scenes, that Lily will be able to use the swimsuit as a costume.

■ New Characters
Arnice (voiced by MAO)
A half-demon girl who once ruled over demons as the “Nightlord” and fought for a long time for the sake of the people. She appears before Alushe possessing the tremendous power of the Nightlord.
—Arnice wields a great sword and wears clothes that appear as if they were dyed in the blue blood of demons. As the Nightlord who ruled over the demons, she possesses great power, but sees nothing before her.
Christophorus (voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa)
An advanced level demon known as a “pure-bed” among her fellow demons. She takes interest in Alushe and appears whenever there is reason to. While she appears before Alushe unexpectedly, she seems to be looking for something. Her objective, however, is completely unknown.
—Alushe is vigilant before Christophorus, who suddenly appears out of nowhere, but Christophorus doesn’t mind and talks to her as if they were standing around chatting.
■ Lilys’ Special Skills
When Alushe is in a pinch, she can trigger her Lily’s special skill. (Lilys are the partner characters that fight alongside Alushe.)
—Liliana has a special skill called “Ceiling’s Petition” that can revive Alushe when she’s fallen in battle only once, as well as put a stop to the time of her surroundings.
■ Lilys and Field Actions
For areas on the field where it’s particularly difficult to move around, Alushe take special actions such as carry her Lily.
—Here we see Alushe carrying Liliana across a water field. Of course, Alushe’s actions with Lilys will change depending on the Lily.
■ Lily Burst
—Camilla’s “Lily Burst” sees her work with Alushe to shoot at the enemy. While her range of attack is narrow, it deals a powerful blow.
—Liliana’s Lily Burst calls down a pillar of light that wipes out surrounding demons. Alushe confines it to the demons that surround them, while Liliana chants the words of the saints.
■ Alushe’s Development
By defeating fiends, Alushe will gather “Blood,” which she can use to level up. “Ability Points,” which are gathered through battle, can be used to acquire various abilities of your choosing.
—Use Ability Points gathered in battle to unlock your favorite abilities. Each ability is tied to an ability tree, which you can unlock by meeting certain requirements.
■ A New Subordinate Demon Introduced
Kaede
Kaede is a puppet Tricker subordinate demon followed by familiars. She is a faithful Servan who uninterestingly orders her familiars to ruthlessly attack from a distance. She provides powerful support, able to stop the enemy’s movement with her black magic.

■ New Characters
Veruschka (voiced by Miyu Tomita)
A half-demon who belongs to the Lourdes Order, an organization that opposes the Curia that Alushe belongs to.
She was the subject of a half-demon laboratory experiment at a very young age, who was saved by the head of the Lourdes Order where she was about to abandoned. She lacks emotion due to her tragic experience in the past and suppresses her own will to believe only in that of the Lourdes Order that saved her.
By the order of the organization, she sets her sights of Alushe.
Veruschka as a Lily
Veruschka opposes Alushe, but after a certain event occurs, she will be able to fight alongside Alushe as a Lily.
—Veruschka wields daggers in both hands while fighting to thrust into fiends with terrific speed. She specializes in consecutive attacks, as well as those that lead the enemy by the nose.
—Veruschka’s active skill cuts through a vast range of enemies with blinding, connecting attacks. Her special skill can even kill a single enemy in a single shot.
■ A Reunion That Starts Time Again
—The “Curia” is an organization that protects the people from fiends. The Pope, the head of the Curia, gives Alushe, an agent, the mission of protecting Liliana, a saint.
—Alushe escorts Liliana back to the Curia, but there learns that Liliana is the “Bride of Time” chosen to be offered up as a sacrifice to the Queen of the Moon, and is given a new mission to escort her to the Queen of the Moon.
—While questioning whether or not she should sacrifice Liliana, her once childhood friend Ruhenheid appears before her.
—Ruhenheid belongs to the Lourdes Order, an organization that opposes the Curia. She confronts Alushe saying that the Curia is not going to help the people. Meanwhile, a fiend suddenly attacks Alushe and company, and Alushe dies.
—When Alushe awakens, she is in a suspicious laboratory. There, she learns that Camilla revived her as a half-demon after she died and that Liliana has gone missing.
—Using the blood of the legendary demon Arnice, Alushe was revived as a half-demon. Alushe wields the new power of producing a blood sword, which she uses to fight against fiends in search of Liliana.
—Alushe reunites with Ruhenheid at the hotel, which is the base you’re led to by Camilla. Even though their standpoints are different, the two use their bonds as childhood friends to work together in order to save Liliana.
■ Developing Your Subordinate Demons (Servans)
The subordinate demons that fight alongside Alushe will level up by using “Subordinate Demon Points” obtained when clearing quests. When leveling up, you can assign points to each parameter, including HP, attack strength, etc. to individually level up each subordinate demon.
Striker Subordinate Demon: Pitz
Pitz is a subordinate demon able to transform into a partisan. Before she transforms, she specializes in hit-and-away attacks from mid-range.
Striker Subordinate Demon: Eir
A subordinate demon able to transform into a great sword that deals big blows. Before he transforms, he specializes in multi-stage attacks that deal great damage.
Striker Subordinate Demon: Alice
A subordinate demon that transforms into a shield that can attack while defending. Before she transforms, she fights using a rabbit soldier that she summons.
■ Subordinate Demon Evolution
When each parameter of a subordinate demon reaches a certain value, its appearance “evolves” and its parameters also rise. Additionally, if all of its parameters reach “MAX,” it is possible to perform a “reincarnation” in which their max level rises instead of them returning to Level 1.

A subordinate demon reliable in any situation with its attack speed and the hits it unleashes from its large build. Since its attack range is narrow, it needs to get within close range of the enemy in order to attack.
Dure can transform into a lance. Since it specializes in evasion and long-distance, you can fight with endurance.
