Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata briefly brought up the 3DS towards the tail end of an investors briefing today. Attendees were given a first glimpse at the 3DS shopping channel interface. According to Iwata, the demonstration had been left out of last month's Nintendo Conference press event due to time constraints.

At the Nintendo Conference, Iwata had said that the new shopping interface would offer a smoother overall experience and would also combine sales and promotions in one system. If this were Wii, it would be like combining Wii Shopping Channel and Everyone's Nintendo Channel in one. The result is that 3DS users will be able to enjoy window shopping, something that Nintendo feels will help support download sales.

As the demonstration video played during today's conference, Iwata noted some of the primary features. When you start up the shop, you can now select to visit "racks" corresponding to different themes. On each rack, you'll find software that fits the theme.

Select a game, and you'll be able to see details, view movies, download a demo and see the opinion of other players. Select to see the software details and, similar to the Everyone's Nintendo Channel on Wii, you'll get a description, play status and other info. You'll also be able to jump directly to the game's home page.

Outside of the various themed ranks, the shop will also have a section where games are listed in order of latest releases and most popular, and search functionality. Players will also be able to cast recommendation votes for games.

Ci credo talmente poco che anche se dovesse essere vero, riesco solo ad immaginare una decina di demo al massimo per tutto il catalogo (come avviene attualmente tramite il canale demo DS per Nintendo Wii) oppure qualcosa come le demo scaricabili solo per un periodo limitato (bizzarra mossa usata per qualche titolo WiiWare).
Io sarei felice della possibilità di scaricare demo per ogni gioco scaricabile dallo store del 3DS, ma Nintendo è stata talmente indietro in questo settore fino ad oggi che mi risulta difficile da credere. Se dovessi essere smentito, non potrei che esserne entusiasta.

Per ora,han parlato dei titoli della VC,ma credo che il discorso si possa estendere a tutto lo store,quindi anche i titoli nuovi...mi pare di aver visto pure dei DSiWare nello "scaffale" di Mario,e se ci sono demo anche per loro...immagini ci siano anche per i titoli nuovi.
Per ora,teniamoci alle demo per i titoli della VC

Poca roba, ok, ma ad esempio io ho provato Art academy che mi è piaciuto, e qualche giorno fa ho provato i primi livelli di Ivy the kiwi.

Beh, tu non hai mai scaricato una demo dal Nintendo channel con il Wii?
Poca roba, ok, ma ad esempio io ho provato Art academy che mi è piaciuto, e qualche giorno fa ho provato i primi livelli di Ivy the kiwi.

Certo che le ho scaricate e proprio per questo penso che se dovessero riproporre delle demo come quelle attualmente scaricabili dal Wii per DS sarebbe come non avere quasi alcun servizio visto il numero ridicolo di prodotti da provare. Non è possibile provare in anteprima neppure i giochi DsiWare. Spero che con il 3DS ci siano più demo disponibili.

Il DS e il Wii sono state, correggetemi se sbaglio, le prima console Nintendo in assoluto ad avere delle demo, perciò anche se ci sono ancora poche cose a disposizione, questo rappresenta comunque un primo passo e non mi stupirei se il 3DS ed il successore del Wii implementeranno questa funzione in maniera più massiccia.

Il futuro è quello ( il passato se si pensa ad Xbox360 e Ps3 dopo ). Per cui mi sembra un'implementazione doverosa da parte di nintendo. Non che doversa <> meno gradita he!
